Making a Home: A poem
Making A Home...
From the darkness
Of my room,
I saw a greenery
So refreshing.
Light breeze, which
Caresses me, and
Comforts me lovingly..
"Chirp! Chirp!" a low
Melody, reached my ears,
From the bamboo forest,
Prompting me to
Investigate the source.
A light flutter,
I then saw her,
Grey wings and
Creamy yellow belly.
Thin beak and
Intelligent eyes,
A tiny little bird..
Working tirelessly,
Hopping from one
Branch to another;
Creating a home
With care and love;
Analyzing the architecture,
As the engineer,
She kept on weaving,
Making a nest,
Following her instincts..
Spent a few minutes
Observing her,
But duty called me
Back to work;
But, the dream of a home,
Tempted me to look for her,
Search for her,
And to imprint in my mind,
Her completed home.

Hope that I could see the finished nest soon
