Bad Luck: A poem

Bad Luck!

Perched on the branch,

Of an old Guava tree,

Preening the feathers,

A lone myna squawked.

"Oh! Bad luck!", yelled

A boy on the road.

"A ruined day!

Because of you!"

Swearing and cursing,

The boy retraced his steps;

Yellow outlined eyes

Followed his back.

"Well! Bad luck

For me too!

A lone human,

Ruined my day!"
