The Purple Button : Life lessons part 1
The Purple Button: Little things that go unnoticed
I have a dark blue dress, you may even call it as a shade of indigo. Not my favourite dress, but still I used to wear this one quite often, like once in 2 weeks for the last 2 years. It had some non functional buttons stitched on the front. In my mind they were some dark blue buttons. But today, out of the blue, to my surprise, I noticed that they were purple. My mental image was shattered instantly, when I noticed the purple coloured buttons.
In our daily life, there are many little things that go unnoticed like this. The mystery of the ever changing sky, the beauty of a little flower on the pavement, the twitter of a sparrow, the sparkling rain water... This list can go on and on. Nature hides many things just in plain sight. May be they are not hidden, just unnoticed.
Have you ever spend hours pondering the mysteries and secrets of nature?
Have you ever seen the clouds change their shapes?
Have you ever observed the twinkling of a lonely star in the night sky?
Have you ever wondered who taught the koel to sing?
These little things, once you observe, gets embedded deep in your heart as marvelous things. Life can be fast and furious, but still its is always better to take a break from your routine.
Not only nature, but also the people around you- acquaintances as well as strangers- are often unnoticed by us. The efforts of your mother when she cooks food for you, the care of your father when he does things for you unasked, the love of your husband when he changes his routine for you, the subtle adjustments made by your friends, the concerns shown by your colleagues, even the smile given by a random stranger- all are precious things which we may not observe due to the busy schedule of our lives.
So, just take a look around you, try to find out a subtle thing which escaped your scrutiny... Make a change in your monotonous life...
