An Abundance of Katherines- Favourite Quotes & Reflections

John Green is one of my favourite authors and I am now going through his book, "An Abundance of Katherines", which tells the unique story of Colin and his fateful encounters with 19 Katherines, who always dumped him. This book is full of amazing quotes, which touch me for their originality and simplicity.

Colin Singleton is not a typical young man. He needs to rationalize everything. Everything should be possible to explain with equations. That is why he is on the mission to prove a theorem - "The Theorem of Underlying Katherine Predictability". He hopes that this theorem will put an end to his miseries in love life and provide him a secure love life, with zero chances of getting dumped.

The math equations and theorems actually make sense sometimes. But that does not mean that the meaning of life can simply be understood like a fact.

This story is a journey of Colin who realizes this truth. He realizes many things during his journey. He discovers his own setbacks and views life through a new clearer lens.

This book may feel like a long slow burn read. But trust me, You are gonna love it. The blunt dialogues and the realistic writing will attract you. If you love mathematics unlike me, you will enjoy this more.
